VipRoss Case Study 1 (Maritime)

In September 2009 we were invited to provide service to a brand new super yacht to enable her to undertake her inaugural voyage from her shipbuilder in Holland to the Monaco Boat show where satellite service would be an essential sales tool.

After a brief desk analysis of their problems we preconfigured and shipped a Vipersat modem as a plug in replacement for the yard supplied kit. Within four days of the call she was equipped and came on line to GTUK’s European coverage service much to the skipper’s delight.

Following from the initial test we signed her up to a five year contract for Europe and enhanced her service with valued added VipCall and VipRoss services to provide her with VoIP trunks and analogue telephone adapters to enable the ships cabin telephone network to remain active under charter and to allow her seamless transition between NSS 7 and TELSTAR 11N satellites for transatlantic crossing and service during charter in the Caribbean.
